Judge Linda Dunson – 309th
MEET THE JUDGE
Judge Linda Dunson has presided over the 309th Court since January 1, 2019. She ran for re-election and won on November 8, 2022. Her current term ends in 2026.
Judge Dunson comes to us with a double-major background in Psychology and Sociology. She has been practicing law for over 16 years. Judge Dunson also has an L.L.M. in Tax Law from the University of Houston Law Center and is licensed as a US Customs Broker. Judge Dunson served on the Children at Risk law advisory board. Her mission is to improve the efficiency of the Court, restore the integrity of the bench, and provide justice, equality, and fairness for families of different ethnicities, cultures, and various financial means without prejudice or discrimination.

INTERESTING FACTS
Judge Dunson’s very first job was at a Sonic as a car-hop, and it lasted one summer. Her favorite holiday is Christmas because it is about love and giving.
According to the Harris County District Clerk website she has handled 194 Civil/Family cases in Harris County since being licensed. That said, we are not including cases in other counties, or those cases filed under another attorney’s bar number which can be the case when working as an associate.
